Something that would be a lot of fun to use as a treat for the Pinewood Derby would be Raisin Racers.
Turn a small raisin box into a racer! Step one print this PDF. Step two is to eat all the raisins from a 1 1/2 oz raisin carton. Next, or while you're doing that, color in the racer and cut along the outside dotted line. Then fold where indicated and glue to the raisin box as shown in the picture. Raisins have lots of iron in them. This is an iron-powered race car!

Pinewood Derby - Traffic Sign Treasure Hunt
Shelley writes, "For our recent pinewood derby we had a few fun games for siblings and boys to play while waiting for the weigh in to finish. The Traffic Sign Treasure Hunt was a hit! The road signs were hidden around the gym and each child had to find them all and then turn in the paper for a candy. Cute Decorations also, and fun for the little kids!

Treat Ideas for the Pinewood Derby
There are some amazingly cute ideas for treats for the pinewood derby online. These were made with small Milky Way bars, M&M's, and Teddy Grahams. We made them after Roundtable last night, and they were a hit! Here is one more picture below with steering wheels added, and then a bunch more pictures of more treat ideas!
One site I found talked about having the biggest prize of all for the boy who came in dead last - a flat tire cake. Everyone wanted to win this prize. Cute Idea!
Cute Car! We tried to make these last night at Roundtable, and used frosting. I don't know how it dried, but it looked like they were hard to make. Then I found the blog of the lady who made them, and another picture. She said she used hot glue to make them.
Healthy Cars
Twinkie & Oreo derby cars. Use frosting to "glue" the wheels on.
And, I found these on Strong Armor. Just cut them apart and attach them to an "Amazing" candy bar. Each boy got a certificate and an "Amazing" candy bar treat just for participating.

Pinewood Derby Certificates
Last night at Roundtable, Don asked where he could get some pinewood derby certificates. I found them at Idea Door. You can go there and save or print off any of these 3 certificates. Good luck with your derbies!
Other ideas I found online, but don't have a digital copy you can print...

Pinewood Derby Cars - March 2012 - Cub Scout Neckerchief Slide
This month for Roundtable, we are talking about all kinds of derbies. Space Derbies, Pinewood Derbies, Raingutter Regatta's, Paper Rockets, Soap Derbies, Cubannapolis, 2 Liter Bottle launchers, Film Canister rockets...
This month at Roundtable, we will be making two different kinds of cub scout neckerchief slides. These are pinewood derby cars made out of moulding. I went to Home Depot, and bought a 7 foot long piece of moulding for about $4. I cut it into sections (I got about 75 cars out of the 7 foot long section), and spray painted the sections.

At Walmart, I bought two different sizes of thumbtacks (one in the office section, and one in the fabric section), but they were silver, so I spray painted them black.

Pinewood Derby Flags - March 2012 - Cub Scout Neckerchief Slide
This month at Roundtable, we are talking about all kinds of derbies. Space Derbies, Pinewood Derbies, Raingutter Regatta's, Paper Rockets, Soap Derbies, Cubannapolis, 2 Liter Bottle launchers, Film Canister rockets...
This month at Roundtable we will be making two different kinds of cub scout neckerchief slides. This neckerchief slide would work good for all the different derbies if you changed out the little pinewood derby tag. I found this idea online at Exciting Scout Craft. There is a PDF you can print to make up the flags. I used...
- PDF for the flags.
- Party Toothpicks from Walmart
- Pinewood Derby Logo from the Idea Door
- PVC pipe Slider
- Glue Gun
