New Roundtable location and date
Beginning in January 2014 we will be moving to a new location and a new date. We will be at the Canterbury Chapel, 6700 W 10400 N, Highland (just north of Freedom Elementary). The date is the first Thursday of the month from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Please help us get the word out. Thank You.

OWL and BALOO courses
are required before conducting any overnight campouts. They are helpful and
fun for all leaders wanting to do
outdoor activities and pass off outdoor related achievements.
When: Check-in
is 8:30am on Saturday, November 9. Training starts promptly at 9am Saturday and
will end at 4:15pm. Den Chief Training
will end at 12:15pm if you choose to stay for only this portion.

Equipment/Supplies: This course is partially outdoors so please wear your
uniform and bring a jacket or coat.
Also please bring a copy of the
Handbook for your den, pen, notepaper, compass and watch. You
will also need to provide a Hobo (foil) dinner that we will cook onsite for
lunch. Dessert supplies will be
provided and made by the participants during the course. It is suggested that you precook any meat for
the foil dinner, but not necessary. They
will be kept in the refrigerator until time to cook.
Course Description: This one day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub
Scout outdoor program for leaders who are interested how to include outdoor
activities in their Pack Program. The course is instructor led and designed to
help leaders enhance their outdoor program by teaching basic outdoor skills,
how to plan outdoor activities, and skills for many cub achievements and
Webelos activity badges. These courses (OWL and BALOO) are required for
pack overnighters and camping experiences.
There will be Den Chief
Training in conjunction with the OWL/BALOO course. Den Chiefs can
choose to come only to their training from 8:30-12:30 for $3 a
person, or they can choose to come to the full day and attend the classes
(Large Group Games, Hiking, Knots and Ropes, etc.) in the afternoon. To

The training is located at the LDS Church Building at 587 S
Saratoga Road in Saratoga Springs. (This
is the chapel off 400 S and Redwood Road near the marina.
