Stake Rotations
Gathering Activity: Please prepare a gathering activity for Roundtable. We’d like this to be in keeping with the Core Value or monthly theme. Please prepare for 80 participants.
Gathering Activity: As the Cub Scouts begin to arrive, they join in an informal activity or game; a gathering time provides interesting things for boys (and families at Pack meetings) to do while waiting for everyone else to arrive and for the meeting to start. These can be games, puzzles, crafts, or anything which only takes a few minutes.
Opening Ceremony: Please prepare to present a flag ceremony, either formal or informal, along with the opening prayer and the recitation of either the Cub Scout Promise or the Law of the Pack. An indoor flag and stand will be provided.
Opening Ceremony: You may choose to use as many people as you would like for these various tasks. Also, you may choose whether to pray first or present the Colors first; both are appropriate choices.
Icebreaker/Song/Cheer: Please prepare at least one item from each category for sharing throughout our General opening and sit near the front so that you can jump up to help our meeting “sparkle.”

Songs: You can use songs to help set whatever mood you want—serious, patriotic, inspirational, or theme-related. Boys especially like action songs that give them a chance to move around.

Stunts, Tricks, and Puzzles: Stunts, tricks, and puzzles brighten meetings and put the group in a happier, livelier, more receptive mood. Use them as icebreakers to get the meeting off to a good start or as an element of surprise or excitement when people get restless. There are several different types of stunts:  Those that the boys perform for an audience; Audience participation, in which everyone joins in by making sound effects or some other type of response to a leader; Applause stunts, which are especially useful for recognition.
Sample Ceremony: Please share and demonstrate a Cub Scout ceremony of your choosing. You may want to choose among these: a new-scout ceremony, a new-leader ceremony, Wolf, Bear or Webelos badges, Arrow of Light, or Faith in God, the Living Circle.
